Julia FarinoJulia has been singing for the past 15 years alongside her work in theatre, television and films. She has worked with stars as diverse as Sir John Gielgud and Sir Elton John and has appeared in several television productions including Crocodile Shoes with Jimmy Nail and In Suspicious Circumstances for Granada Television. From rock and pop vocals to resident jazz singer at The Dorchester Hotel, Mayfair, Julia has covered it all, even reaching number two in Tower Records in Japan on an album of football songs!

Julia's theatre work includes playing Eleanor Sedaka in Laughter In The Rain (UK tour), Les Miserables (Palace Theatre, London), The Music Man (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, London) and Mother Goose with Frankie Howerd, Maureen Lipman and Donald Sinden (Theatre Royal, London). Julia played the title role in Cinderella (Mercury Theatre, Colchester), Edith in The Pirates of Penzance (West Yorkshire Playhouse) and Gilda in the world premiere of Alfie – The Musical (Oldham Coliseum). Julia has toured the UK and Ireland playing Barbara Orbison and k. d. lang in The Roy Orbison Story – Only the Lonely, played the title role in The Little Prince (Solent People’s Theatre Company) and toured in the new musical comedy Somebody Loves You by Charles Way.

Julia took one of the lead roles in the film If Tomorrow (Film 6 Associates) and didn’t appear as a monster in the video When I was a Doctor Who Monster! (Reeltime Pictures) but appeared in various other guises. She produced and performed the one-woman play Man to Man (Man in the Moon Theatre, London) and took part in the workshop of Lionel Bart’s musical, Quasimodo. She has also performed at both the 10th and 25th anniversary concerts of Les Miserables at the Royal Albert Hall and The 02.

After establishing her Little Big Band, Julia launched her debut, jazz album, Don’t Talk To Me Of Love, in 2005 which has been selling fabulously at all good record stores and on the internet.
